DogZ Program Operation

Manual Mode
Internet Import Mode

The DogZ
program has two methods to enter data, manual or imported from the internet. For manual entry, data is entered on this form directly from the Dog Track Program booklet for your track. You can buy the Race Track program book at the track or get the race data free from the internet. Most Dog tracks have a Web site with the Program listing for each race. The figure below shows the Dog 1 entry form. Data is entered directly from the Race Track program booklet in the form for Dog 1.

Once the data for Dog 1 is entered, press the Dog Calc button and calculations will be displayed for the dog. You can quickly glance over the data to verify your entries are correct. To enter data for the next dog, select File then New and a entry form for the second dog will be displayed.  Continue this process for each dog in the race.

When all dog data has been entered and dog calc has been pressed for each form, press the Race Calc button. A screen will display the final race results. The dog with the highest total number has the best odds to win. In this race Top Gunner with a Total of 79 has the best chance to win. That's all it takes to handicap a race! Dogz is probably the easiest program you will ever use in the manual mode.
